[ Holy freaking crap that's creepy. Full body shudder, cold chills down the spine and everything kind of creepy. And his head really, really, really hurts. Like, a lot. Like, the morning after going drinking with Len and Digger a lot. But terror and blunt head trauma have never ever ever stopped him from sounding as irritatingly chipper as possible, so when he answers, it's in his Happy Voice. ]

Harry! You got my special delivery!

[hsalf]

Yes. So sad it was returned to the sender rather quickly.

[And yes he sounds incredibly gleeful, which must sound horrifying in the voice he's using he's sure.]

[ Nightmare fodder. ]

Funny how you didn't seem to care about that when you hurled that bottle through my window. Why the sudden attitude change?

It's just that I'd hate for anyone to have to find out that Dr. Harrison Wells isn't such a stand up guy after all. Might have some career implications. Among other things.

What was it you said to me all condescendingly? "As long as you're not a danger to the public, you can be a member of it?"

[cool blackmail attempt bro, but he's heard worse and he thinks Trickster is more concerned with his well-being than that.]

Yeah, see, that's the problem. Guys like you always say that spooky stuff about not getting in the way, but they never say what not to get in the way of. That's bad contract language. Kinda weasely. Would never hold up in court.

[hsalf]

[He just makes a short laugh at that and yes his laugh is very much distorted as the rest of his voice.]

Oh, but you know exactly what I mean. And if you try another gag, or make some pathetic blackmail attempt again, it'll be much worse than a high-speed bottle thrown at your fragile head.

I do know what you can do, and I also know you're not unstoppable. I've been to Hell, buddy, and the big guy downstairs didn't take me seriously either. You'll have to try a little harder than that.

[ The thing is, though, it's working. He's well aware of what a speedster is capable of, especially one who has no qualms about murder. Or worse-than-murder. And James likes his life quite a lot — whatever's left of it, anyway — and even if people come back here, he's not too eager to find out what happens in the interim. And he's always been awful about dealing with pain.

On the other hand, he's terrified of falling, and he still spends half his time skipping around hundreds of feet in midair. ]

[ He's never been that good at the scary "hands off" speeches. Christ, he actually misses Len right about now. ]
